Grains Café s’inspire de la culture du café du Nord Ouest Américain. Le volume rhomboïdale est pensé presque un food truck, une hutte légère et ouverte sur l’extérieur qui relie la Wukang rue avec le jardin qui se trouve derrière. A la soustraction de la salle principale les deux extrémités triangulaires abritent le torréfieur de café et la boutique à glaces artisanales devenues depuis légendaires.

Grains Coffee and What Is Your Flavor Ice cream shop were inspired from food trucks and the coffee culture of the American North-East. The buildings sits on a larger plot opening to a garden on one side and tree lined Wukang Rd on the other. The rhomboid shaped floorplan is divided in three areas in order to create a rectangular coffee shop space framed by two triangles - one for the coffee roaster and another one for the Ice cream booth. The metal cladded façade opens up to provide shade and can be fully closed in the evening for private tasting.
